Team Charter

Team 306 Charter
"ASU is a comprehensive public research university, measured not by whom it excludes, but by whom it includes and how they succeed; advancing research and discovery of public value; and assuming fundamental responsibility for the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the communities it serves."

Team 306 follows this principle by designing and integrating embedded systems that work together as a unified engineering project. Our team recognizes the responsibility to contribute positively to the communities connected to Arizona State University through thoughtful engineering practice, collaboration, and professionalism. The charter was created collectively by all members of Team 306 and reflects our shared expectations and commitment to the project.

Product Mission Statement

Mission Statement (Highlighted Section)
Team 306’s mission is to design a physical implement capable of exploring different environments using a series of individually developed probes and sensors. Each subsystem contributes to the rover’s ability to sense, communicate, interact with the user, and perform mechanical tasks underground.

Team Composition

Keith Payne – Motor‑driven sampling drill subsystem
Terry Williams – Electromagnetism‑based sensing subsystem
Charlie Klotz – Human‑machine interface subsystem
Vanessa Morgan – Wireless communication subsystem

Each member is responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of their subsystem, as well as integrating it into the final rover.
